This is a portrait that I’ve been working on recently.

I’m building on the pencil anatomy studies by bringing colour to the works.

In these 3d resin-coated paintings I painstakingly paint and cut out by hand certain 3d details in the painting, for example the fish and the birds.  As they take me a long time to do they are often sold out at Whitby Galleries before I have time to paint some more!  Please enquire at Whitby Galleries to see what is currently available.

I was requested by John Lewis to draw a series of sketches of cities of the world – here are some of them.

With its brightly coloured houses and red roof tops, Whitby is a never-ending source of inspiration for paintings.  In my Quirky Whitby series I use pen and ink and watercolours to vibrantly paint the town that I love.  Please contact Whitby Galleries to see what originals or prints of Whitby they currently have in.

This watercolour is a modern twist on the classic “Spring Floral” painting that is still a very popular print.  There is a lot more detail in this picture.

And here is the original “Spring Floral”.  Little did I know when I painted this and sent it off to the publishers that it would become a best seller.
